Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the face and voice of the global breast cancer movement, with local affiliates in 125 cities and communities, and advocates at the local, state and federal level. We are the most progressive grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists. With nearly $1billion invested to date, Susan G. Komen for the Cure is the world’s largest source of non-profit funds dedicated to curing breast cancer at every stage – from the causes to the cures, to the pain and anxiety of every moment in between.
The Komen Northeastern New York Affiliate provides services to the eleven counties of Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Washington, Warren, Hamilton, Essex, Clinton, Montgomery and Franklin. Our Affiliate has granted over $1 million to breast cancer screening, education, and treatment programs in our local affiliate areas. Up to 75% of our net revenues from our race and third party events help to fund these programs.
